Kantishna Roadhouse is seeking an experienced Dinner Chef to lead evening culinary service in the heart of Denali National Park. This is more than a seasonal kitchen job—it’s an opportunity to live and work in one of the wildest, most breathtaking places in Alaska. Accessible only by small aircraft due to the current park road closure, our lodge offers a truly remote experience surrounded by towering peaks, endless wilderness, and a close-knit team that feels like family. The Role As Dinner Chef, you’ll oversee dinner service for both guests and staff while helping maintain a smooth, efficient, and high-quality kitchen operation. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in creating exceptional meals, leading by example, and thriving in a rugged, fast paced environment. Responsibilities Planning and preparing nightly dinner service Maintaining high standards for food quality, presentation, and sanitation Managing kitchen workflow and supporting team operations Monitoring inventory and helping control food costs Ensuring compliance with food safety standards at all times What We’re Looking For Must be at least 21 years old Minimum 3 years of hands‑on chef experience in a commercial kitchen Minimum 2 years of kitchen management experienceCurrent Professional Food Manager Certification Ability to thrive in a remote setting and work 45–60+ hours per week Flexible, positive attitude and strong teamwork skills Room & Board Free room and board are provided for the entire season, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the Denali experience without additional living expenses.
