Step into an impactful opportunity as an onsite Audiologist, supporting an educational setting near Des Plaines, IL. Play a key role by providing expertise for an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) focused on auditory processing. You’ll collaborate closely with a Nurse to ensure a comprehensive assessment is completed prior to the end of September. This contract assignment is ideal for professionals seeking to make a difference through specialized evaluations, and is limited to one evaluation at this time.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Audiologist License required
- Experience in school-based settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with auditory processing evaluation protocols
- Ability to communicate clinical findings clearly in written and oral formats
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to meet strict deadlines
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct a thorough auditory processing assessment for a student as part of an Independent Educational Evaluation
- Work collaboratively with a school Nurse and other educational professionals to gather student health and educational data
- Compile concise, comprehensive evaluation reports in compliance with educational and clinical standards
- Present findings and professional recommendations to the educational team
- Complete the assignment onsite ahead of the designated end-of-September deadline
