Work Environment

Located in a state-of-the-art facility in Belmont, California, our clinic is designed to provide an optimal healing environment for our patients. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work onsite, directly engaging with patients in a friendly and energetic setting. The clinic operates Monday through Friday with flexible schedules between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Your contributions will be invaluable in ensuring our patients receive personalized care during their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in carrying out treatment plans by facilitating therapeutic exercises, guiding patients through their prescribed activities, and ensuring proper techniques are used for maximum benefit.
• Engage in manual therapy practices such as soft tissue mobilization and joint mobilization to aid in patient recovery.
• Educate patients on therapeutic protocols, injury prevention strategies, and home exercise programs to encourage ongoing progress.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient documentation using electronic medical records (EMR) systems like WebPT, tracking treatment outcomes and updating patient files accordingly.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress and collaborate on treatment adjustments that improve care quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. As a PTA, your role is instrumental in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals, from improving mobility and strength to educating them on maintaining their well-being post-treatment.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active PTA license in the state of California.
• Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, showcasing your ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
• Proficiency with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, to ensure accurate record-keeping and streamlined patient care.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for helping patients recover and regain their independence.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with specific orthopedic conditions and post-operative rehabilitative treatments.
• Knowledge of advanced therapeutic techniques and a commitment to continuing education in physical therapy practices.
• Familiarity with collaborative care models and interprofessional teamwork.

Compensation and Benefits
