Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite at our hospital facility, where you will collaborate with a team of experienced healthcare professionals. You can expect to work a consistent schedule from Monday to Friday, either from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Support licensed Physical Therapists by assisting with treatment sessions and patient care plans, ensuring that each patient's specific rehabilitation needs are met.
• Guide and demonstrate therapeutic exercises to patients while monitoring their progress, providing real-time feedback and encouragement.
• Implement manual therapy techniques, such as joint mobilization and soft tissue mobilization, to facilitate recovery and enhance mobility.
• Educate patients on rehabilitation techniques, proper body mechanics, and injury prevention strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with EMR systems such as WebPT.
• Adapt treatment approaches based on ongoing assessment of patient performance and feedback, collaborating with the therapy team to optimize care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a PTA at Personal Touch Physical Therapy Group, you will primarily work with patients who have sustained orthopedic injuries, including postoperative recovery from joint replacements, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our diverse patient population ranges from young athletes to elderly individuals, requiring tailored therapeutic interventions that address their specific needs and goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, complemented by completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Possession of an active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of California.
• A minimum of two years of physical therapy experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, illustrating a strong foundation in therapeutic practice.
• Proficient knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, to ensure efficient documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with a variety of manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities is highly beneficial.
• Previous experience in a multidisciplinary team environment is valued.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive yearly salary range of USD 75,000 – 85,000 based on experience and qualifications.
