The ideal candidate understands the complexity of maintaining equipment and infrastructure in fast-paced DC environments and can effectively source, assess, and deliver niche talent.Key ResponsibilitiesFull Lifecycle RecruitingManage full-cycle recruiting across maintenance and operations rolesPartner closely with hiring managers in distribution, facilities, and supply chain operationsOwn req intake, sourcing strategy, screening, and offer managementSpecialized Maintenance RecruitingRecruit for Roles Such As:Maintenance Technicians (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration)Conveyor / Automation / Controls TechniciansFacilities Maintenance (including cold storage & refrigeration environments)Maintenance Supervisors / ManagersThese roles focus on maintaining critical warehouse systems like conveyors, forklifts, and facility infrastructure that keep DC operations running.DC / Supply Chain Operations HiringSupport hiring for adjacent roles when needed:Warehouse Operations SupervisorsInventory / Materials rolesDistribution Center leadershipUnderstand how maintenance integrates with overall warehouse throughput, safety, and uptimeCandidate Screening & Technical EvaluationScreen Candidates On:Mechanical vs electrical skillsetsExperience with automated warehouse systemsPreventative vs reactive maintenance experienceValidate experience maintaining equipment, performing inspections, and minimizing downtimeSourcing StrategyBuild Talent Pipelines From:Retail distribution centers (grocery, big-box, e-commerce)3PL and logistics providersManufacturing environments with warehouse operationsUtilize platforms like LinkedIn, Indeed, and niche trades networksOperational AwarenessUnderstand DC environment requirements:Shift-based hiring (including nights/weekends)High-volume and urgent hiring needsSafety-sensitive environments (OSHA, compliance, etc.)UnionsPartner with managers to prioritize roles impacting uptime and productivityProcess & ToolsUse ATS systems to manage candidate flow and reportingTrack hiring metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline health, conversion)Ensure compliance with hiring standards and processesBasic Qualifications3+ years of recruiting experienceProven experience recruiting for maintenance, facilities, or technical rolesExperience supporting distribution centers, warehouses, or manufacturing environmentsStrong sourcing capabilities for skilled trades talentPreferred QualificationsExperience recruiting in:Grocery or retail distribution networksCold storage / refrigeration environmentsAutomation-heavy warehouses (conveyors, robotics)Familiarity with:Maintenance terminology (MRO, preventative maintenance, CMMS)
