Investment Portfolio Manager

Energy Insurance Mutual (EIM) is seeking an experienced Investment Portfolio Manager to oversee the day-to-day management, monitoring, and strategic oversight of our more than $3 billion investment portfolio. This is a highly visible role within our Finance team, reporting to the Vice President & Chief Financial Officer and supporting investment strategy, performance oversight, liquidity planning, and reporting for company leadership and the Investment Committee of the Board of Directors.

In this role, you will partner closely with the CFO, external investment managers, and investment consultants to help ensure the portfolio remains aligned with EIM's Investment Policy Statement, financial objectives, insurance obligations, liquidity needs, and risk tolerance. The position requires strong investment judgment, analytical depth, and the ability to translate portfolio performance, market trends, and risk positioning into clear recommendations for senior leadership and the Board.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing day-to-day oversight of EIM's more than $3 billion investment portfolio in accordance with the Investment Policy Statement.
• Monitoring asset allocation, duration, credit quality, diversification, liquidity, performance, manager strategy, fees, and risk exposures across asset classes.
• Preparing investment reports and presentations for company leadership and the Investment Committee of the Board of Directors.
• Managing short-term liquidity and cash positioning to support claim payments, operating needs, and portfolio return objectives.
• Partnering with external investment managers and consultants to evaluate market outlook, manager performance, asset allocation, and portfolio strategy.
• Developing forecasts, dashboards, financial analyses, and ad hoc reporting to support portfolio monitoring and decision-making.

We're looking for someone with:

• At least 5 years of investment management, institutional portfolio oversight, company investment, pension fund, asset management, or investment consulting experience.
• Experience with large, multi-asset class portfolios preferred.
• Strong understanding of fixed income portfolios, credit quality, duration, yield, liquidity, and alternative investment strategies.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with investment performance reporting tools and analysis.
• Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, and influencing skills.
• A business-related undergraduate degree, preferably in economics or finance; CFA designation preferred, with an MBA, advanced finance degree, CFP, or other relevant investment credential a plus.

Work environment

This is a full-time, exempt role with a hybrid work environment with a three day (T, W, Th) in-office presence in Tampa, Florida. Occasional travel is expected. xhyhwjd
