Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The main function of this role is to perform daily accounting and bookkeeping tasks that support our Accounting Department, assisting with account receivables, account payables, data entry, and collection efforts in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.

• Utilize and maintain working knowledge of applicable accounting methods and procedures that are in keeping with accepted accounting principles.
• Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts receivable and payable data.
• Assist Accounts Payable Specialist to verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
• Develop and implement efficient filing systems for both physical and digital documents
• Identify and propose process improvements to streamline accounting procedures
• Provide additional clerical and administrative support or projects as assigned.
• Maintain professional conduct and appearance, and confidentiality.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• 2+ Accounting Experience or an associates degree in related field
• Must qualify and maintain a valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Working knowledge of applicable accounting methods and procedures that are in keeping with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Minimum of two years' experience in business accounting and accounts payable.
• Minimum of two years' experience in QuickBooks and Microsoft
• Critical thinking skills and problem solving
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills
• Adaptable and open to process improvements
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
