Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our home care facility, where a collaborative atmosphere fosters teamwork and innovation. Our clinic integrates behavioral health with primary care, allowing our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to work closely with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care. Regular business hours are from 9 am to 5 pm, providing a structured work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluations to accurately diagnose patients, utilizing evidence-based methodologies.
• Manage and monitor prescribed medications, observing their effectiveness and making necessary adjustments in collaboration with patients and other healthcare providers.
• Engage in crisis intervention strategies, providing immediate support to patients experiencing acute emotional distress.
• Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver integrated care that addresses both mental and physical health needs.
• Participate in community outreach programs, enhancing mental health awareness and education within the local community.
• Deliver therapeutic support through counseling sessions, psychoeducation, and skill-building initiatives tailored to individual needs.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans.
