Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to patient consults and admissions, documenting your findings through accurate notes and orders relating to patient care.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including pre-operative and post-operative assessments, while ensuring continuity of care through proper documentation of consultative orders.
• Prepare patients for surgical procedures by educating them about the necessary steps and providing reassurance to ease their concerns.
• Facilitate open and timely communication with patients and their families, informing them of treatment plans and answering any questions they may have.
• Adapt to flexible shift assignments and availability for on-call duties to meet the ever-evolving needs of our patient population.
• Comply with all HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy, and remain informed about billing practices and institutional policies.

Qualifications

• A valid Nurse Practitioner license in New York State (APRN) with current DEA and NPI registration.
• A minimum of one year of experience in an urgent care setting or similar high-acuity environment.
• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, able to convey complex medical information effectively to patients and colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits
