Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive urgent care services, including performing physical examinations, diagnosing medical conditions, and developing treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, lab work, and EKGs to inform clinical decision-making.
• Utilize effective triage skills to prioritize patient care, manage multiple patients efficiently, and minimize wait times.
• Perform essential procedures such as digital blocks, minor surgical closures, and the management of wounds and infections.
• Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, including joint aspirations and the administration of injections.
• Initiate IV therapy as required and manage the delivery of fluids to ensure optimal patient hydration and nutrient delivery.
• Carry out closed reduction techniques for simple fractures and dislocations, ensuring appropriate follow-up and care.
• Apply orthopedic devices and assist with the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries.
• Oversee and manage daily clinic operations, serving as an expert resource for other healthcare providers as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Clinic caters to a diverse clientele, treating patients of all ages with a variety of urgent health conditions. This role requires the ability to create a comfortable and caring environment, enhancing patient satisfaction while addressing acute medical needs effectively.

Qualifications

• A valid New York State license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in nursing followed by a Master's degree in nursing is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience in an urgent care or emergency room setting.
• Ability to work two full weekends per month as part of your full-time schedule.
• DEA registration and a valid New York controlled substance license.
• Experience in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems for seamless patient care.

Preferred Experience

While one year of clinical experience is required, candidates with additional emergency medicine or urgent care experience will be prioritized. Familiarity with hands-free charting tools and integrated care methodologies is highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to 180,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.
