Work Environment

The position is onsite at our hospital located in Islip, New York, where you will work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive physical examinations, evaluate patient health status, and review relevant medical histories.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work and imaging studies to support accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose and manage a range of health conditions, particularly in family medicine, ensuring effective treatment plans are tailored to individual patient needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment strategies for chronic and infectious diseases, adjusting them as necessary based on patient progress and feedback.
• Prescribe medications and treatments while carefully monitoring patient responses and effectiveness.
• Maintain organized and accurate patient records within our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring that all documentation is up to date and complies with healthcare standards.
• Provide patient education about various health issues, treatments, and preventive measures to empower patients and their families.
• Participate in daily rounds as part of a collaborative approach to care, ensuring continuity throughout the patient care continuum.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
