Work Environment

The position is primarily onsite at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center in Babylon, NY. The working schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while providing comprehensive care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patient health by reviewing detailed medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests—such as laboratory tests and imaging studies—to support accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose a spectrum of health conditions and illnesses, formulating tailored treatment strategies that encompass both acute and chronic care.
• Design and implement individualized care plans for conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and infectious diseases, fostering an integrative approach that prioritizes patient health.
• Prescribe medications in accordance with state laws and guidelines, closely monitoring patient responses to therapy and making adjustments as necessary.
• Keep detailed and organized patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Educate patients and their families about preventive care, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle choices, promoting proactive health management.
• Participate in daily rounds and collaborative case discussions with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and cohesive patient care.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution is required.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is mandatory.

• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Physician Assistant in a family health clinic, urgent care, or similar healthcare setting.

• Exceptional communication skills that facilitate effective patient engagement and education.

• Must possess a DEA number, enabling the prescription of controlled substances.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
