Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Manufacturing Technician to oversee the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our industrial machinery and plant equipment. In this hands-on role, you will handle both electrical and mechanical systems, perform structural welding and fabrication, and diagnose mechanical breakdowns to keep production running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Machinery Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on complex electrical and mechanical manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
- Mechanical Breakdowns & Rebuilds: Respond promptly to equipment failures, perform teardowns, replace defective components, and rebuild assemblies back to original specifications.
- Electrical Wiring & Controls: Wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical components, motors, and control systems on industrial machinery safely and accurately.
- Welding & Metal Fabrication: Perform MIG and Stick welding to repair damaged structural components, modify machinery, or fabricate custom fixtures as needed.
- Documentation & Digital Records: Utilize Microsoft Office and computer systems to log maintenance work orders, track inventory parts, and record equipment downtime.
Qualifications & Core Competencies
- Experience: Proven experience as a Manufacturing Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or similar role in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Mechanical & Electrical Aptitude: Strong expertise in diagnosing both mechanical assemblies (pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes) and electrical wiring systems.
- Welding Skills: Proficiency in MIG and Stick welding with experience in metal fabrication.
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in basic computer operation and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Problem-Solving: Strong critical-thinking abilities to troubleshoot complex machinery breakdowns under time constraints.
- Physical & Safety Awareness: Ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for extended periods, and adhere strictly to safety protocols.
