About the Position

We are seeking a Psychiatrist for an 89-day assignment in Wisconsin, beginning Oct 5, 2026. This role involves comprehensive inpatient psychiatric care during 12-hour shifts, including participation in treatment-team meetings, family and caregiver communication, medication management, and discharge planning. The Psychiatrist will also handle court and involuntary treatment responsibilities and engage in peer-to-peer reviews.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide inpatient psychiatric care.
• Participate in treatment-team meetings.
• Facilitate family and caregiver communication.
• Coordinate with nursing and social work teams.
• Manage discharge planning.
• Oversee medication management.
• Handle court and involuntary treatment responsibilities.
• Conduct peer-to-peer reviews.

Additional Information

• Board Certified in Psychiatry
• EMR: Epic
• Inpatient setting
• Average unit census is 17 patients.
• Expected daily clinician census is approximately 10-15 patients, inclusive of routine follow-ups, admissions, and discharges (adjusted for acuity and staffing).
