Cook with 2-3 years experience in high volume production preferred.  

Cook Salary:         $20 per hour

Cook Shifts:         Full-time , Day and Evening Shifts, Alternating Weekends, Holidays.

Healthcare contract management company seeking experienced Cook for long term care nursing facility in  Syracuse, NY area. 

Cook Responsibilities and Duties

· Prepares food as assigned according to standardized recipes to provide resident  with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.

· Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlines standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature and is    attractive and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items for quality control.

· Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food- handling procedures.

· Perform other job-related duties as they become required.

· Ability to comprehend and follow standardized menus and recreate per recipe.

Cook Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

• ServSafe Certification preferred or will become ServSafe certified after hired.

• Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 60 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 60 pounds, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
