TAX MANAGER (public accounting sector) – Top 50 Accounting Firm in the US

Location: Baltimore, MD area - Hunt Valley, MD 21031 (local candidates only please)
On-site/Full-time Monday through Friday with ability to work extended hours if business calls for it (e.g., busy season deadline, client needs, etc.
Compensation: $140,0000 to $150,000 salary (commensurate with experience) plus discretionary bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits
Prior to hire: background check

Responsibilities – Tax Manager (public accounting sector):

Interact with clients & Firm team members to provide innovative, proactive individual & business tax planning, consulting, and compliance services in a timely / effective manner
Ensure complete client & team satisfaction through open communication, managing deadlines and proactively sharing tax savings strategies
Work closely with Partners, Directors, Senior Managers and staff on client management, professional development, and business development activities
Supervise & lead Associate and Senior Associate team members to manage responsibilities and deadlines on client engagements
Develop skills to attract new clients and market the company's services and products and facilitate expansion of business with existing clients
Keep abreast of any legislative or professional changes, and consulting with clients on potential implications
Participate in Client development through networking events and professionally represent the firm in the business community
Display continual commitment to the Firm's Culture and Values and Client Service Principles
Demonstrate a level of communication skills, intuitive skills and resourcefulness that encourages others to follow and develop the same skills

Qualifications – Tax Manager (public accounting sector):

REQUIRED: active CPA license (law degree a plus)
REQUIRED: 4+ years’ previous public accounting experience with a strong concentration in tax including corporate, partnership, individual, trust & estate planning, and resolving complex tax issues
Specialization & experience in both individual and business tax returns, with concentration in flow through entities
Working knowledge of various accounting software
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work effectively with all the internal team and clients
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
