Product Owner
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Product Owner for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
In this role, you will be accountable for defining and prioritizing the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities. You will work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business priorities, lead release planning, and ensure adherence to enterprise standards for documentation in software delivery tools like Jira and Confluence.
Responsibilities:
- Define and prioritize the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities, maintaining conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the team
- Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business priorities
- Lead the planning of product release plans/PI planning, Sprint Planning and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities
- Provide an active role in mitigating dependencies of team which help successful completion of Release/Sprint goals
- Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends
- Be accountable for adhering to enterprise standards for documentation in our software delivery tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner in the security or banking domain
- Strong understanding of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), with SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability in writing user stories and managing backlogs
- Ability to communicate with both business and technology partners effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box
- Experience with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
- Technical proficiency in using JIRA or other agile project management tools
Pay range: $49.46 - $57.46 per hour
