Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate patient mental health needs, utilizing diagnostic tools and evidence-based methodologies to develop personalized treatment plans.

• Provide effective short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention services for patients presenting a spectrum of mental health concerns, employing therapeutic techniques tailored to their specific challenges.

• Facilitate engaging therapy groups and workshops focused on relevant topics such as coping strategies, interpersonal skills, and self-care practices to promote patient involvement and empowerment.

• Collaborate across departments within the hospital, including essential team members in medical and patient support services, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care.

• Participate in community outreach initiatives, including mental health awareness campaigns and wellness events that aim to educate and engage the public on mental health topics.

• Maintain clarity and confidentiality in patient records, adhering strictly to ethical and legal standards for documentation and data handling.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your practice will primarily support a diverse range of patients, including individuals facing acute emotional distress, those with chronic mental illnesses, and patients seeking personal development guidance. This role requires an understanding of and sensitivity to the unique challenges clients encounter, particularly in a hospital setting.

Qualifications\n

• Active state license in one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a pertinent field.

• Demonstrated expertise in understanding the complexities of mental health issues, especially as they pertain to hospital patients.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate relationships with clients and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.

• Knowledge of evidence-based treatment practices and brief therapy models that best suit the unique dynamics of a hospital counseling environment.

• Ability to manage a diverse caseload in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates with prior experience working in integrated health settings or community health clinics. Experience deploying teletherapy techniques and digital health solutions can be advantageous.
