Job Description:
We are seeking multiple Behavior Interventionists for full-time, onsite positions in South Burlington, Vermont serving K–12 students. This role supports students with behavioral, academic, and developmental needs by implementing individualized programming aligned with IEP goals and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Position Details:

Location: South Burlington, VT
Schedule: Full-Time (35 hours per week, Monday–Friday)
Caseload: K–12 (Elementary focus available)
Openings: Multiple positions available
Setting: Onsite only

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and support to students in classroom and specialized settings aligned with IEP goals
Adapt instructional materials, methods, and environments in collaboration with classroom teachers and supervising staff
Ensure student participation in classroom instruction and activities as directed by the teacher
Implement specialized programming as directed by psychologists, behavior analysts, speech-language pathologists, occupational/physical therapists, and other providers
Support students with personal care needs, including ambulation, dressing, and toileting as required
Implement behavior, medical, and communication protocols per IEP requirements
Assist in de-escalation and, when necessary, properly administer restraint procedures (CPI training provided)
Provide CPR/first aid or other medical support if trained and required
Collect and maintain data, complete task analyses, and monitor student progress toward IEP goals
Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to support student success
Support students across multiple environments including classroom, playground, community settings, job sites, and school activities
Assist with preparation of instructional materials and classroom organization
Support supervision during non-instructional settings (lunch, recess, specials, etc.)
Participate in meetings, training, and professional development as required

Qualifications:

Strong experience working with students with behavioral needs required
Experience in special education or behavioral support settings preferred
Ability to remain calm in high-intensity situations
Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
Willingness to complete CPI training (provided upon hire)
