Work Environment\n

This role is positioned in a remote outpatient office, allowing for flexible work arrangements while maintaining a strong connection with our team and the students we serve. As part of our Mental Health Team, your standard working hours will be from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts, rotating weekends, and possible on-call availability to provide timely support during crises.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the unique needs of students entering the Special Education Program.
\n
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans that respond to each student’s emotional, behavioral, and cognitive challenges, guiding them toward successful integration within the school community.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to address issues related to ASD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, ADHD, and traumatic experiences.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on personal growth, emotional regulation, and the development of effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and school administrators, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for our students.
\n
• Deliver crisis interventions and immediate emotional support during mental health emergencies, assisting in de-escalation and resolution strategies.
\n
• Engage and provide psychoeducation to students and their families, empowering them with knowledge about mental health conditions and available resources.
\n
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring that all records are up-to-date and accessible for review.
\n
• Participate actively in team meetings and case conferences, contributing to the continuous development of our programs and strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on students with diverse special needs, ensuring that each child’s specific challenges are met with personalized mental health support. Your work will play a crucial role in not only treating mental health issues but also supporting students' overall development within an educational framework.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Texas.
\n
• Comprehensive knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Proficiency in conducting mental health assessments and formulating effective treatment plans.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to build rapport with students and collaborate with families and professionals.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a high level of computer literacy.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, preferably in an educational or special education setting.

• Demonstrated expertise in delivering therapeutic services to children and adolescents with learning and behavioral challenges.

• Experience in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care models.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
