Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing organization in the construction industry seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with accounting leadership while supporting core accounting functions, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Support the preparation of financial statements and internal management reports Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and various balance sheet accounts Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll activities as needed Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records Support internal and external audit requests Assist with job cost accounting, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and other construction-related accounting functions Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 1+ years of accounting experience Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
