HVAC Chiller Mechanic (union)

What you will do Support the fast‑growing HVAC business in North America. Provide commercial HVACR service, perform maintenance, repair, and replacement of commercial heating and cooling systems, and consult with customers on commissioning and aftermarket service. How will you do it Work with light and heavy commercial teams on HVAC piping, plumbing, and mechanical equipment. Partner with Journeymen to repair centrifugal, steam turbines, and open‑drive screw chillers. Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems. Use vibration equipment and dial indicators for troubleshooting and shaft alignment. Travel 10%–20% to support branch customers. Pass a knowledge examination and be certified through the Service Technical Academy (STA). What we look for Required minimum five (5) years of commercial and/or industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry, including rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, chiller plant experience with air‑cooled and centrifugal units, mechanical shaft alignment, and vibration analysis. Ability to use diagnostic tools, write and communicate problem, cause, and corrective actions, and provide customer quotes. Self‑starter with a passion for learning and a commitment to safety. Qualifications Universal EPA refrigerants license. Applicable state or local licensing. Valid driver’s license. Ability to travel 10%–20%. Compensation and Benefits Pay: $38.23 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet, with benefits provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
