As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Watch in Newport News, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support people across the site with strong customer service and communication. In this unarmed role, you will bring an agile, reliable, and innovative approach, work as part of a caring team, and act with integrity each day.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and/or delivery traffic to help support site rules and document entries, exits, and notable events.
• Communicate with site contacts, employees, and/or visitors regarding post instructions, restricted areas, and incident information as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
