Role Description The Outside Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX. This role is responsible for visiting architectural, engineering, and contracting firms to present products, explain technical features, and demonstrate value for specific projects. Day-to-day tasks include scheduling and conducting sales calls, developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and providing responsive customer service. The person in this position will prepare and deliver sales presentations, follow up on leads, track opportunities in a CRM or similar system, and collaborate with internal team members and manufacturers to address client needs. The role also involves staying informed about industry trends, green building standards, and product updates to effectively represent the manufacturers. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Sales Presentations and Communication skills to effectively convey product benefits to technical and non-technical audiences. Candidates should possess Relationship Building and Customer Service skills to maintain long-term partnerships and deliver responsive support. Candidates should possess New Business Development skills to identify prospects, generate leads, and grow market share in assigned territories. Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, construction, or water conservation products and familiarity with LEED, ICC, and green building standards is beneficial. Proven experience in outside or field sales, preferably in construction or related industries. Ability to work independently, manage a schedule of on-site visits, and travel locally as required. Proficiency with CRM tools, basic office software, and reporting of sales activities and pipeline status.
