As a Recruiter, you will play a critical role in driving the growth of our firm by identifying, attracting, and selecting high-caliber talent for our Financial Representative career.

What You'll Do

Talent Sourcing & Business Development

As the face of our recruiting efforts, you will build and maintain relationships that generate a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.

• Develop and execute recruiting strategies to achieve hiring and activity goals
\n
• Build referral networks and cultivate Centers of Influence (COIs) within the business community
\n
• Identify and engage qualified candidates through referrals, networking, social media, career fairs, community events, and proactive outreach
\n
• Represent Northwestern Mutual in local organizations, professional associations, and networking groups
\n
• Strengthen the visibility and reputation of the Northwestern Mutual career opportunity throughout the community
\n
• Partner with leadership to promote recruiting successes and growth initiatives
\n
• Coordinate recruiting marketing campaigns, events, advertising, and branding efforts
\n
• Collaborate with recruiters across the Northwestern Mutual network to share best practices, referrals, and successful recruiting strategies
\n

Recruiting & Candidate Experience

You will guide candidates through a thoughtful, professional, and high-touch selection process.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on the Financial Representative career and Northwestern Mutual's value proposition
\n
• Review resumes and conduct candidate screenings
\n
• Facilitate initial interviews and administer selection tools
\n
• Manage candidates throughout the recruitment and selection process
\n
• Deliver a best-in-class candidate experience through consistent communication and relationship management
\n
• Maintain integrity and quality throughout all stages of candidate evaluation
\n
• Partner with leadership to continuously improve recruiting and selection processes
\n
• Assist candidates through contracting, licensing, registration, onboarding, and pre-contract training requirements
\n

Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

\n
• Track recruiting activity, pipeline metrics, and hiring results
\n
• Analyze recruiting ratios and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency
\n
• Maintain accurate candidate records utilizing company recruiting systems and technology
\n
• Prepare recruiting reports and dashboards for leadership meetings
\n
• Use data and insights to make recommendations that support office growth objectives
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor's degree preferred
\n
• 3+ years of professional experience in recruiting, sales, business development, marketing, talent acquisition, or a related field
\n
• Financial services recruiting experience is a plus but not required
\n
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills
\n
• Experience prospecting and generating leads through networking and outreach
\n
• Active involvement in professional, civic, or community organizations preferred
\n
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and team members
\n
