Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups using standardized methods and clinical observations.
• Craft tailored treatment plans targeting short-term objectives as well as long-term cognitive, communicative, or swallowing goals.
• Implement individualized speech therapy sessions focused on enhancing communication skills, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing abilities.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers, to develop cohesive care strategies.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their families to empower progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and therapeutic interventions to ensure seamless patient care throughout their journey.
• Maintain organized and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and institutional standards.
• Engage in continual learning through various educational opportunities and collaborative discussions with peers in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
