Waltham, Massachusetts • Temp • Per Hour • May 6, 2026 • $45.00 - $55.00 Senior Accountant (Contract) Waltham, MA (Hybrid) Pay Rate: $45–55/hr Overview A high‑growth, VC‑backed biotech company seeking a hands‑on Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations and help build scalable financial infrastructure. This is a high‑urgency hire with strong potential to convert to permanent. Key Responsibilities Own month‑end close activities: GL, AP, payroll, and financial reporting. Prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and internal reports. Manage AP processes, including PO matching and cash disbursements. Support payroll processing and cost accounting (inventory, manufacturing). Maintain and improve internal controls (GAAP / SOX‑aligned). Assist with audits, tax support, and board reporting. Drive process improvements and system optimization (QuickBooks). Qualifications 4+ years of accounting experience. Strong GL and close experience; must be hands‑on. QuickBooks required; Preddio a plus. Solid knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls. Life sciences or manufacturing experience a plus.
