Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant, responsible for managing various accounting tasks, including booking journal entries, assisting with month-end close, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. This position is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting, preferably from the construction or professional services industry, who is eager to contribute to the company’s financial success. Responsibilities: Prepare and book journal entries for a variety of accounts, including revenue, expenses, and accruals. Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Support the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies. Assist with audits by providing supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA and/or MBA is preferred. 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry or a professional services firm. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced knowledge of Excel. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Compensation: $65,000-$80,000 (Depending on experience)
