Staff Accountant

A well-established, privately held organization in the construction and infrastructure services industry is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its growing finance team. Position Overview The Staff Accountant will support the monthly close process, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting activities. This role is ideal for an accounting professional looking to build their career within a dynamic, project-driven business environment. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities Record journal entries and ensure accurate accounting records Analyze account activity and investigate variances Support preparation of financial reports and management reporting packages Assist with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules Partner with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting Support internal and external audit requests Maintain compliance with company accounting policies and procedures Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and process improvement initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2-5 years of accounting experience Experience in the Construction Industry is a plus Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Construction industry experience is a plus, but not required Why Join?
