Proving the return on AI spend is one of the biggest business transformations in tech history, and CloudZero has repositioned the entire company to solve it. The catch is that nearly every vendor now claims to do the same thing, so differentiation is our top marketing priority for the next 18 months, and it's what decides whether a buyer picks us or someone who just sounds like us. We're adding this role to go all-in on differentiation, and to add more firepower to everything the PMM team already does today.

The Senior Product Marketing Manager will own and drive continuous progress on the core messaging and differentiation of our platform. You'll make it clear and undeniable why CloudZero is the right choice for a buyer with a specific problem, translate a technical product into the "so what" for finance and executive buyers, and build on our market research and competitive intelligence to stay ahead as the field gets more crowded.

This is a hands-on individual-contributor role that supplements our existing team. We're looking for an exceptional marketer who can own the positioning of a category while it's still being defined, and who'd rather develop and continuously sharpen the story than wait for someone to hand it over.

Messaging & differentiation

• Own the core messaging and differentiation of our platform, the clear and undeniable reason a buyer with a specific problem should choose CloudZero over every other vendor claiming AI ROI
• Translate what product and engineering build into clear buyer value for finance and executive audiences, simple enough that a rep in their first month can tell the story with confidence
• Work across product and engineering, demand generation, and sales enablement to keep messaging consistent across our core content assets

Competitive intelligence & market research

• Own competitive intelligence by tracking the field, arming sales with battlecards and objection handling, and sharpening our positioning against every alternative.
• Run market and buyer research to keep our messaging matched to where the industry and the buyer are heading
• Stay ahead of other vendors in an increasingly crowded market, and feed those insights back into our positioning and roadmap decisions

Cross-functional enablement & funnel support

• Support product launches and make sure new capabilities land in our core positioning, backed by strong proof points and real customer examples
• Work alongside content and demand generation to feed the top of the funnel with differentiated stories that create demand, not just capture it
• Partner with sales engineering to define the capabilities and narratives that make every demo prove the CloudZero difference and move buyers to a proof of value

What We're Looking For

• 5-8 years in product marketing for a technical B2B product, ideally at a startup or in a fast-moving category
• A track record of sharp messaging and differentiation in a crowded or emerging market
• Proven ability to translate complex, technical products into clear buyer value; you can make even a junior rep sound credible
• Proven experience and expertise in running market research and competitive intelligence programs
• Experience marketing to finance and technical executives (CFOs, CTOs, or AI and business-transformation leaders) and their teams, ideally from a B2B tech or fintech company; a security or other technical, skeptical-audience background is a plus
• Genuine curiosity: you want to be in the product, talking to customers, and learning what your audience actually cares about, without being asked (a journalistic or reporting background is a plus)
• The judgment to pull context from many sources, extract what matters, and run with it, rather than waiting to be handed the answer
• An AI-first operator who uses tools like Claude to move faster, learn a domain quickly, and scale your own output
