Make a meaningful impact as a School Psychologist supporting PreK and elementary students for the new school year. This contract opportunity starts August 13th and offers a full-time schedule, working alongside a dedicated educational team near Steger, IL. Your expertise will provide essential psychoeducational services, empowering students and staff throughout the academic year.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current School Psychologist certification/licensure in Illinois (or eligibility)
- Previous experience with PreK and elementary populations preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes, psychological assessments, and special education regulations
- Skilled in leading and participating in IEP meetings
- Proficient in conducting initial and triennial evaluations
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
- Ability to collaborate well with educators, families, and administrators
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for initial referrals and triennial reevaluations
- Provide insightful, clear, and timely written reports supporting educational decisions
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to develop appropriate student plans and services
- Consult with educators, parents, and related service providers to support student progress
- Offer crisis intervention and counseling as needed
- Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal guidelines
