In this role, you will weld, fabricate, fit, finish, and assemble industrial sheet metal components used in the manufacture of commercial food equipment.The ideal candidate brings strong TIG welding and sheet metal fabrication experience, can accurately interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols, and takes pride in producing high-quality finished work.Success in this position requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and a strong commitment to quality, safety, sanitation, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform TIG, MIG, and spot welding on stainless steel and other sheet metal componentsFabricate, fit, and assemble components according to blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and weld symbolsCut, grind, drill, bend, fit, and finish sheet metal componentsProduce high-quality welds and finished surfaces appropriate for sanitary food-equipment applicationsSet up, adjust, and safely operate welding and sheet metal fabrication equipmentUse precision measuring tools to verify dimensions, tolerances, alignment, fit, and finished qualityInspect completed work for weld quality, appearance, dimensional accuracy, and conformance to specificationsIdentify and correct fabrication, fit-up, or weld-quality issuesComplete required production, quality, and manufacturing documentation accuratelyMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow all required PPE, OSHA, plant safety, sanitation, and manufacturing proceduresIdentify opportunities to improve welding, fabrication, quality, safety, and production processesAssist with training and share welding and fabrication best practices with team members as neededWork closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and other team members to resolve fabrication, fit, or assembly issuesWhat We’re Looking ForPrevious TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environmentExperience welding and finishing stainless steel sheet metalAbility to read and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, dimensions, and weld symbolsExperience with sheet metal fabrication processes, including cutting, grinding, drilling, bending, fitting, and finishingAbility to use precision measuring tools and verify work against required specificationsStrong attention to weld appearance, fit, finish, and dimensional accuracyUnderstanding of safe welding and fabrication practicesAbility to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a manufacturing teamStrong commitment to quality, safety, reliability, and craftsmanshipWhat We’re Looking ForPrevious TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environmentExperience welding and finishing stainless steel sheet metalAbility to read and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, dimensions, and weld symbolsExperience with sheet metal fabrication processes, including cutting, grinding, drilling, bending, fitting, and finishingAbility to use precision measuring tools and verify work against required specificationsStrong attention to weld appearance, fit, finish, and dimensional accuracyUnderstanding of safe welding and fabrication practicesAbility to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a manufacturing teamStrong commitment to quality, safety, reliability, and craftsmanshipWhy Join Us?This is an opportunity for an experienced welder to put their skills to work on equipment where precision, durability, appearance, and craftsmanship matter.
