Sheet Metal Mechanic

Experience Experience:Three years of experience as a first class Sheet Metal Worker in the installation of foundations, ventilation, bulkheads, shipboard furniture and sheet metal fabrication shop work. Marine experience preferredAircraft/Industrial/Commercial sheet metal experience is acceptableRequired Skills:Comprehend complex ventilation assembly drawings, blueprints, and sketches to include weld symbols, material types, datum and reference lines.Ability to comprehend fractional and decimal dimensions as with the use of a ruler. Layoff piece parts for fabrication and assemblyAbility to assemble piece parts in accordance with specifications in a quality mannerExperience working in a physically demanding environmentFamiliarity with OSHA regulations relative tothe shipbuilding industryExperience using small hand tools (electric drills, grinders, rivet guns), and shop equipment (drill press, press break, Shears etc.). Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Pass background check and urinalysis Strong Work Ethic Must be able to lift 50lbs Willing to work on/around ships We Offer Weekly Pay Overtime available Long term projects Benefits Vacation & Holiday pay Health Insurance Attendance Bonuses Pay starting at $32.00/hour Per diem available to those eligible #ISS #J-18808-Ljbffr
