Data Entry Clerk

Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Data Entry Clerk to accurately input, update, and maintain information in our databases and administrative systems. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and comfortable working with large volumes of data while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

• Enter, update, and verify data in company systems with a high level of accuracy.
• Review documents for errors and correct any inconsistencies.
• Maintain organized and updated records, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Retrieve information when requested and ensure quick access to files.
• Prepare and sort documents before data entry.
• Follow established procedures for data security and confidentiality.
• Generate simple reports as needed.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as email sorting, file management, and document formatting.
• Communicate with team members to resolve data-related questions.
• Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar administrative role.
• Strong typing skills with excellent accuracy (recommended: 45–60 WPM).
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with data entry software, CRM systems, or databases is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot errors quickly.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to follow instructions carefully.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
