Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Specialist in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a professional financial institution location. In this role, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. You will deliver customer service with integrity while working as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, identification checks, and other security-related policies at a financial services location.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help manage authorized access, visitor processing, credential verification, and/or after-hours entry activity.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
Maintain accurate logs, reports, and access records involving visitors, deliveries, keys, badges, and other site activity in accordance with local procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other conditions that may require follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
CPR certification is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
