VP of Commercial Strategy & Growth – Restaurant Group $150,000 - $170,000 + Bonus Company: Well-established, growing, and profitable fast-food and fast-casual, multi-brand restaurant group Successful multi-brand franchise with restaurant locations in several states Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Disability and Life insurance PTO and Sick Pay Employee Assistance Program The Opportunity: The VP of Commercial Strategy & Growth will take ownership of the data-driven performance strategy across a large, multi-unit restaurant portfolio. This is not a traditional marketing role. The ideal candidate is highly analytical and commercially minded, with the ability to look across individual restaurant performance, identify emerging issues and opportunities, diagnose the underlying causes, and develop strategies to improve revenue and reduce loss. This leader will work closely with executive leadership, Marketing, and Operations to ensure the organization is proactively monitoring performance at the individual-unit level and taking action before challenges become significant business issues. The successful candidate will bring a combination of quantitative analysis, strategic thinking, business acumen, and strong communication skills. They will be comfortable getting into the data, asking the right questions, identifying patterns and translating insights into practical strategies that drive measurable results. Responsibilities include: Own the commercial performance strategy across a portfolio of 220+ restaurant locations, identifying opportunities to increase sales, improve profitability, and strengthen overall business performance. Monitor store-level sales, traffic, average check, promotional results, and other key KPIs to identify emerging trends, underperforming locations, and areas requiring intervention Diagnose the underlying drivers of performance and develop clear frameworks for when and how to address individual-store challenges before they materially impact the business Translate quantitative analysis into actionable growth strategies, partnering closely with Operations and Marketing to address both operational and commercial opportunities Evaluate marketing initiatives and promotions through disciplined measurement, including test-and-control analysis, campaign performance, redemption, sales, traffic, and average-check data, while identifying opportunities to optimize marketing investment Identify and address potential areas of revenue leakage and loss, including refunds, fraud, theft, EBT activity, and other anomalies identified through performance data Establish clear reporting, measurement standards, and accountability around commercial initiatives, providing executive leadership with timely insights, recommendations, results, and a forward-looking view of business performance Lead and develop the marketing team while serving as a strategic thought partner to executive leadership and external partners on revenue growth, marketing investment, portfolio performance, and broader commercial opportunities Partner with franchisors, agencies, and other external partners to maximize available marketing resources and commercial opportunities within the parameters of the franchise system Build a more predictive, forward‑looking approach to performance management, enabling leadership to anticipate risks and opportunities rather than react to them after the fact Qualifications / Skills: 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial strategy, business analytics, revenue growth, marketing analytics, business intelligence, operations strategy, or a related discipline, including significant leadership experience with a RESTAURANT GROUP Proven experience evaluating performance across multi-location, multi-market, or multi-unit businesses; restaurant, franchise, hospitality, retail, or other consumer-facing experience strongly preferred Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, with demonstrated ability to identify performance gaps, diagnose underlying drivers, and translate complex data into actionable strategies Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of the factors influencing sales, traffic, average check, customer behavior, profitability, and overall revenue growth Demonstrated success partnering with Operations and field leadership to implement, test, measure, and refine initiatives across multiple locations Experience designing and evaluating tests, promotions, or commercial initiatives using data‑driven measurement to determine effectiveness and inform future strategy Highly proactive and intellectually curious, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to anticipate business issues, challenge assumptions, and bring forward thoughtful solutions High level of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when working with sensitive business and performance information Executive‑level communication, judgment, and presence, with the ability to clearly communicate key insights and recommendations, challenge assumptions thoughtfully, and operate effectively in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Willow Tree Recruiting
