Healthcare Navigator Department: Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (OHNS)
Location: 100% Onsite (Campus-based, Employee-Paid Parking) Job Details

• Target Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Through 12/31/2026 (extension possible)
• Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Pay Rate: $32.70/hr

Position Summary
Support the Healthcare Navigator team by handling administrative, intake, and documentation workflows —essential to ensuring patients' charts are accurate, complete, and ready for prompt scheduling and care. Key Responsibilities

• Request and obtain medical records from external providers.
• Manage inbound radiology and clinical documentation—upload to Cerner patient charts.
• Create new patient profiles in Cerner; organize and populate records.
• Monitor referrals, escalate urgent cases to Healthcare Navigators.
• Manage group email and fax inboxes; upload/docs or re-route as needed.
• Send registration/patient info to new patients.
• Assist with insurance/authorization paperwork.
• Maintain patient preparedness and workflow efficiency; support additional admin tasks.

Desired Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Experience:
  • Healthcare back-office or clinical admin experience (ENT/OHNS a plus)
  • Familiarity with EMR systems—especially Cerner.
• Skills:
  • High attention to detail, strong organization and efficiency.
  • Independent worker; follows established processes.
  • Good communication, documentation, and computer skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel), document handling (PDFs, scans), e-fax platforms.
