Registered Nurse - ICU Rotating or Nights

The Ahuja ICU is a 20 bed surgical and medical intensive care unit. We care for patients with complex medical and surgical needs. The team consists of highly skilled nurses, providers, advanced practice nurses, patient care assistants, and other ancillary staff who are dedicated to caring for the sickest patients and families. Our critical care nurses are trained on devices such as Intra-Aortic balloon pump, Impella, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy, Hypothermia Management and in advanced hemodynamic monitoring. The team strives to provide the highest quality of care to our patients and families. Common diagnoses include pre/post cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, thoracic surgery, STEMI, sepsis, renal failure, respiratory failure, cardiac/respiratory arrest, DKA, shock, gastric bleeding, stroke, overdose, alcohol withdrawal.

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma in Nursing or (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required), (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred), (MN) Master in Nursing (Preferred)
• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency) Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. (Required proficiency)
• Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire) and Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit. Refer to ACLS/PALS Unit Requirements document found on DWP Nursing Portal to determine requirements by unit. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit. Refer to ACLS/PALS Unit Requirements document found on DWP Nursing Portal to determine requirements by unit.
