Account Manager - focused on Software Sales

Overview Account Exec / Account Manager role located in Chicago, with the option to be based in the Midwest. This position involves a strong focus on outside sales (approximately 70%) and inside sales (approximately 30%), with uncapped commissions. US Citizens or Green Card Holders only. Responsibilities Lead sales efforts to the mid-market manufacturing sector. Build a sales plan to provide integrated software and service solutions to meet prospect and existing customer needs as a strategic business partner. Drive all aspects of the sales cycle including proposals, scoping, pricing and contract negotiations. Develop proven metrics and reporting to drive the team to achieve success with current and prospective customers. Qualifications Experience working for an ERP or MES software firm as an account executive. This ERP or MES experience is an absolute must. Experience in large-scale implementation project sales with firms such as Cognizant, IBM Global Services, Accenture, PWC, E&Y, etc., is preferred. Experience in business-to-business sales in the manufacturing space, including prospecting, relationship management and closing complex deals for consulting-intensive software solutions in manufacturing, industrial automation, and logistics, especially at the executive level.
