Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA

Type: Contract

Compensation: $70-77/hr

Responsibilities

• Support New Product development projects by leading and executing the purchase, assembly, installation, and testing of custom or off the shelf manufacturing equipment and fixtures.
• Develop custom inspection fixtures/equipment including mechanical setup, LabView software development, and machine learning.
• Author manufacturing work instructions, inspection procedures, attribute charts, PPAP documents.
• Create prints for components used for product repair.
• Coordinate and troubleshoot incoming inspection / FAI of product components.
• Set up manufacturing lines for product repair and inspection.
• Apply engineering knowledge independently to problem-solve technical and non-technical issues.

Requirements

• Experience with building and testing fixtures and equipment.
• Experience authoring manufacturing documents.
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and support supporting manufacturing lines.
• Strong problem-solving skills (technical and non-technical).
• Fluent in reading prints (components, custom fixtures, etc.).
• Strong writing and documentation skills.
• Experience with assembly and testing of fixtures/equipment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organization skills.
• Preferred: LabVIEW or TestStand experience.
• Preferred: Medical device experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in engineering or equivalent.
