The DHS Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS), Child Welfare, is seeking candidates to fill the position of Child Welfare Services Case Manager Supervisor, reporting to a Child Welfare Services Administrator. This position is in Jackson, Butts County. Roles and Responsibilities Supervise and plan work of assigned staff Serve as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas Access and record client and community resource information Collect evidence, interviews witnesses, and prepare necessary reports according to rules and regulations, state and federal laws Compile records and prepare reports; performs follow-up to determine the status of client's case Conduct home-visit evaluations for information gathering to be used in assessments Coordinate and monitor children in out-of-home placements and in-home interventions Coordinate and monitor services, including comprehensive tracking of client's activities Develop case plans that effectively utilize community resources to meet needs of individual custodial client Identify placement resources for children within the foster care system Initiate the legal process for guardianship, protective services, placement and/or adoption Maintain required documentation and completes reports Make immediate assessments regarding safety of clients and respond according to established protocol and policies Perform initial investigations of protective services referrals to determine the appropriateness of protective services intervention Work in collaboration with legal system to ensure safety and achieve desired outcomes Review, approve/disapprove, or render decisions on casework being performed by staff Special Requirements Must have reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, a valid state-issued driver’s license, an acceptable driving history record and the ability to travel statewide.
