This entry-level opportunity is designed for a recent graduate to join the Finance team, assisting with day-to-day accounting activities to ensure accurate financial records and support the firm's robust operations. The TL;DR Role: Early Career Type: Full-time Location: Hybrid Santa Monica, CA Pay: $28-30 hourly Team: Reports to the Financial Controller, working alongside other accounting team members. Mission: Assist with daily accounting activities, including billing, payment processing, and reconciliations, to ensure accurate financial record-keeping for the firm. Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Salesforce, NetSuite, FinancialForce What You'll Actually Do Manage financial data entry: Input billing, payment, deposit, and other financial information into the firm's systems. Process client finances: Accurately apply and record client payments and assist with preparing and issuing client invoices under guidance. Maintain financial records: Track outstanding balances, maintain accounts receivable records, and perform basic reconciliations of billing, deposit, and payment records. Ensure data integrity: Review financial transactions for completeness and accuracy and maintain organized electronic records and supporting financial documentation. Support financial operations: Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities and respond to routine billing and accounting questions from internal team members. The Must-Haves Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field, completed by the position's start date. A foundational understanding of accounting or bookkeeping principles through college coursework is required for this entry-level role. Experience: No prior professional accounting experience is required; recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Skills: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy; Good organizational and time-management skills; Clear written and verbal communication skills; Ability to handle confidential financial and client information responsibly.
