WR Immigration is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our Finance team at our Santa Monica headquarters. This is an entry-level opportunity designed for a recent graduate or someone beginning their accounting career. No prior professional accounting experience is required, and training will be provided. Working under the supervision of the Financial Controller and alongside other members of the accounting team, the Junior Staff Accountant will assist with billing, payment processing, reconciliations, recordkeeping, and other day-to-day accounting activities. This is a full-time, hybrid position requiring employees to work in our Santa Monica office up to four days per week. Candidates must live within reasonable commuting distance of the office or be able to relocate independently before their start date. Relocation assistance is not available. Employment-based immigration sponsorship is available for qualified candidates. Responsibilities: Enter billing, payment, deposit, and other financial information into the firm’s systems Help apply and record client payments accurately Assist with preparing and issuing client invoices under the guidance of senior accounting team members Assist with tracking outstanding balances and maintaining accounts receivable records Review financial transactions for completeness and accuracy Perform basic reconciliations of billing, deposit, and payment records Maintain organized electronic records and supporting financial documentation Assist with researching billing discrepancies and elevate questions as appropriate Support the accounting team with month-end and year-end closing activities Respond to routine billing and accounting questions from internal team members Learn and use the firm’s accounting, billing, and client-management systems Assist with additional accounting projects and administrative tasks as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field, completed by the position’s start date No prior professional accounting experience required; recent graduates are encouraged to apply Foundational understanding of accounting or bookkeeping principles through college coursework Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Comfortable entering, reviewing, and working with numerical data Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Good organizational and time-management skills Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to follow established procedures, ask questions, and learn from feedback Ability to handle confidential financial and client information responsibly Interest in learning new accounting and business systems; prior experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, FinancialForce, or similar platforms is helpful but not required Ability to work from the Santa Monica office up to four days per week Compensation: The anticipated compensation range for this position is $28.00 to $30.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as education, relevant internship or work experience, skills, and other job-related qualifications.
