About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director to spearhead its national philanthropic initiative. The successful candidate will be instrumental in leading the organization through a pivotal phase of growth and impact, with a focus on enhancing clinical care, family support, research, and education for individuals and families affected by Trisomy 13 and 18. This role involves close collaboration with an Advisory Board, clinicians, researchers, families, and community partners to shape and execute the organization's strategy. The Executive Director will also be responsible for overseeing a team of consultants and ensuring that the company's efforts in research, grantmaking, and stakeholder engagement lead to tangible improvements in care. Key priorities for the role include the advancement of coordinated care models, the establishment of specialized care centers, and the strengthening of family support systems. The ideal candidate for the Executive Director position at the company will have a proven track record in leading and managing philanthropic or healthcare-related initiatives. A deep understanding of the challenges and needs of individuals and families affected by Trisomy 13 and 18 is essential. The role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to drive long-term systems change and build strong partnerships across various sectors. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills are a must. While the position is remote, the Executive Director should be prepared for periodic travel to engage with stakeholders and represent the organization at conferences and field convenings. A background in a relevant field such as public health, social work, or a related discipline is highly valued.
