About the Role

The Company is in need of a Chief Financial Officer to take on a pivotal role in leading all financial aspects of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategy, overseeing budgeting, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role also involves a strong focus on compliance with nonprofit and healthcare regulations, particularly in the areas of Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance. The CFO will serve as the primary financial liaison to the Board of Directors and Audit/Risk Committees, and will be instrumental in leading annual audits, tax filings, and funder/grant reporting. Mentoring and developing the finance team is also a key responsibility. Applicants for the Chief Financial Officer position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in progressive financial management leadership, with a preference for those who have worked within a complex nonprofit or healthcare setting. Experience in behavioral health billing and healthcare revenue cycle management is essential, and familiarity with NYS Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR) filing is highly valued. A CPA and/or MBA is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong sense of integrity and diplomacy, capable of partnering closely with the CEO, Board, and program leaders to ensure the financial health of the organization and support its mission.
