Machine Operator

Wage: $17.60-$19.60/hour

Shift: 1st, 2nd, 3rd

(1st Shift) 6:00am-2:00pm, (2nd Shift) 2:00pm-10:00pm, (3rd Shift) 10:00pm-6:00am

Machine Operator Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Review daily schedule with supervisors/leads
• Obtain batch sheets/formula sheets and process check sheets from Supervisor
• Obtain ingredients/labels/materials per batchsheet/formula specifications
• Verify that all obtained materials/ingredients match items listed on batch sheet
• Inspect the appropriate production equipment for cleanliness, allergen issues and foreign objects and material
• Complete machinery setup/shutdown process for specific operation of equipment to the batch sheet
• Mix/cook batches or wraps product to specifications as per formula in batch sheet
• Monitor equipment throughout production run to ensure operation is within process parameters
• Perform and maintain quality inspections and checks
• Communicate and work cooperatively with co-workers
• Perform daily housekeeping chores
• Maintain a clean, dry, and safe working environment by consistently adhering to good housekeeping practices
• Work safely and perform daily safety checks on all equipment
• Perform calculations for partial formulas, ingredient and materials usage and waste recording
• Recognize and report food safety and employee safety issues
• Perform changeovers with adherence to Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices
• Rotate into Packer position to perform Packer duties as business/operational needs

Machine Operator Requirements:

- Accuracy and attention to detail are critical

- Ability to work in a loud work environment

- Must be able to communicate effectively with all operators and supervisors and work within established procedures and guidelines for safe and efficient operations

Operators will be exposed to heavy machinery, heat, humidity and strenuous work

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that involves a considerable amount of climbing, lifting and reaching

This position requires weekend work and work in excess of eight hours per day
