In this role, you’ll be responsible for key accounting tasks, including bank account reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, and ad-hoc projects. You'll work closely with both the Accounting and Finance teams, gaining exposure to a wide range of functions and contributing to the financial health of Surya. What You'll Do: Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation: Handle multiple large bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies. Journal Entries: Prepare and enter journal entries with precision and attention to detail. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare daily bank reports for Senior Management, analyze variances, and ensure the financial data aligns with company goals. ERP Transactions: Post payments in the ERP system (MAS Sage 100) and review bank postings for AR and AP. File Management: Establish and maintain confidential company files and financial records. Ad-Hoc Projects: Take on diverse projects that will stretch your accounting skills and broaden your expertise. What We’re Looking For: Education & Experience: A degree in Accounting or Finance is required. 2-3 years of related experience is preferred, though an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications is essential. Experience with Sage is a plus. Attention to Detail: You’ll need a keen eye for accuracy and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Problem Solver: You’ll be expected to research and resolve discrepancies with logical and practical solutions. Independent Worker: You should be able to work independently, manage your time effectively, and meet deadlines. Team Player: While you’ll handle individual tasks, you’ll also be an integral part of a larger team, so collaboration is key. Adaptability: Must thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment and handle multiple priorities with ease.
