Role Description The Director of Operations is a full-time, on-site role based in the Detroit Metropolitan Area, responsible for overseeing daily operations across Diomo Hospitality’s venues and programs. This role manages operational performance, ensures consistent guest experiences, and aligns property-level execution with business goals and owner expectations. Key responsibilities include leading site managers and frontline teams, optimizing staffing and scheduling, and maintaining standards for service quality, safety, and compliance. The Director of Operations will monitor financial performance, manage budgets, analyze operational data, and implement corrective action plans to improve efficiency and profitability. They will collaborate with development, culinary, and programming teams to support openings, refine concepts based on guest feedback, and maintain readiness for events, catering, and ongoing service. Qualifications Strong Operations Management skills, including multi-site oversight, process optimization, and performance monitoring. Robust Analytical Skills for interpreting financial and operational data, forecasting, and making data-informed decisions. Proven Team Management capabilities in leading diverse teams, coaching managers, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Demonstrated Budgeting experience, including cost control, P&L management, and resource allocation. Excellent Customer Service orientation, with a focus on consistent guest experiences and service recovery. Significant experience in hospitality, food service, or related operations leadership roles. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with owners, partners, tenants, and vendors. Solid understanding of operational readiness, staffing, training, and compliance in hospitality environments. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
