Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week Swing Bed unit position requiring 2+ years of experience and a compact or OK RN license.

Details

• Work in a MedSurg Swing Bed unit providing skilled nursing and rehabilitation therapies
• Assists patients transitioning from acute hospital stay back to home or long-term care facility
• 13-week assignment with a night shift schedule from 18:30-07:00

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or OK State License) required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

Additional Information

• Implements and monitors patient care plans while communicating patient condition to the care team
• Serves as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Carries out physician and nursing orders and assesses discharge planning needs
• Requires strong critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
