Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Ortho RN for a night shift surgical unit position requiring at least 1 year of experience and an OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Surgical unit caring for a general orthopedic surgical adult population
• 28-bed unit with telemetry capability
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Unit supported by PCTs, a Healthcare Unit Coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and monitor techs
• Night shift schedule from 18:30 to 07:00
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Current BLS certification through AHA required
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Implement and monitor patient care plans while recording and communicating patient condition
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
• Local candidates accepted, subject to a radius rule that may reduce pay rate depending on distance from the facility
